We are looking for a person who seeks for a new challenge in safety assessment of novel material processes in the context of EC funded research projects.

Job’s profile:

  • Undertake day-to-day activities of occupational safety assessment
  • Gather and evaluate data from various different sources (e.g., questionnaires, on-site assessment, material characterization and hazard information) to identify safety gaps, perform hazard assessment for extensive material & substance inventories and propose safety guidelines
  • Carry out risk analysis through state-of-the-art assessment techniques (e.g., FMEA, FTA, etc.)
  • Perform on-site, process-specific exposure assessment campaigns. Use specialized instrumentation for airborne (nano)particle measurements. Analyze & interpret data obtained
  • Perform indoor environment quality measurements (e.g., noise, heat and illumination)
  • Attend project meetings, generate relevant reports
  • Carry out research activities

Candidate must have:

  • Engineering – or relevant – degree (physics, chemistry, materials, environmental, etc.)
  • Master or PhD in relevant fields (Materials Science, composite materials, nanotechnology, Chemical Processes etc.)
  • Knowledge/Experience in providing occupational safety consulting services
  • Previous involvement in EC funded projects
  • Excellent communication skills in English (fluent in writing and speaking English)
  • Experience is MS suite (word, excel, powerpoint)

The following will be considered positively:

  • Previous experience with ISO45001
  • Knowledge of EU regulations (e.g., REACH)
  • Standards regarding environmental and safety issues
  • Previous experience in on-site exposure assessment activities
  • Project management and reporting previous experience
