We are looking for a Data Scientist, who will participate in EU funded research projects in the field of Materials Science. Specifically, the successful candidate will get involved in Data Science tasks and applications in Materials Science. The job role includes daily machine learning tasks as well as management of EU funded projects.

Job’s profile:

  • Undertake Data Science tasks and participate in related day-to-day activities
  • Attend project meetings and monitor projects’ progress
  • Communicate on daily basis with project partners
  • Write detailed reports and project deliverables
  • Carry out research activities and come up with innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with the other teams (Materials Scientists) and identify new growth possibilities through AI/Machine Learning
Key requirements:
  • Degree in quantitative field (e.g. Chemical Engineering or relevant, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related field)
  • MSc in Data Science or relevant field will be considered a plus
  • Experience with Python  (or any other scripting language)
  • Experience with open source data science packages, such as Pandas, scikit-learn
  • Experience with AWS will be considered a plus
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude and facility with algorithmic thinking
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and oral)
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Eager to explore new ideas and align innovation activities with business growth opportunities
  • Ability to travel abroad
